What’s up with the kid who called in a 1:05?
If you write lyrics then technically your a lyricist. May not be the best, but a lyricist none the less. Drake and J. Cole did bring back the focus on lyrics, yet it definitely is not top, grade A stuff. I think when Premier said Drake and J. Cole brought back lyricism he meant the focus on lyrics was more evident because they are, to be fair, above other rappers on the radio in the lyricism side of things. They ain’t boom bap type rappers more hip pop (one of the newest subgenres in hip hop). I haven’t listened enough of their music to really judge their skills. In conclusion, I still don’t want to see Premier work with Drake or J. Cole on a record, but if he does I’ll bang it if it is bangin’.
