Nineteen Ninety Now is finally here and a Hip Hop renaissance is about to begin! The art form is brought full-circle through this groundbreaking collaboration between underground giant Celph Titled and production legend Buckwild of D.I.T.C. fame! Showing that the lessons from the past can be combined with the innovations of the present, these two heavyweight artists have joined forces to create a neo-classic. By having uninhibited access to Buckwild s original mid-90s production, Celph Titled was able to select and record to over 16 unreleased D.I.T.C. bangers, bringing his charismatic flow and lyrical prowess to each one. The beats on this album were originally produced by Buckwild between 1994 and 1995, but were never recorded to, so the classic Hip Hop sound of the SP-1200 and Akai-S950 is revisited on this project. All scratches done by Mista Sinista of X-ecutioners fame Guest appearances from D.I.T.C. (A.G., O.C., Diamond D), Treach of Naughty by Nature, Vinnie Paz of Jedi Mind Tricks, Brand Nubian (Grand Puba & Sadat X), R.A. The Rugged Man, Chino XL, Demigodz (Apathy, Ryu, Esoteric), F.T. of Street Smartz and more.

PREEMISH: El Da Sensei & The Returners – Ain’t Trippin’ (Feat. Ghettosocks & Timbuktu)

!!EXCLUSIVE EXCLUSIVE!! Just got this in my mailbox from Michal Chwialkowski (The Returners), and shit is too hard, so why not posting it!! This is in my top 10 tracks of 2009! El Da Sensei from The Artifacts teamed up one year ago with Polish production team The Returners for making an album called “Global Takeover“. No misstep, it was surprisingly an underground hit. Now one year later we can tell that El Da Sensei still loves the European flavor by releasing a new EP with The Returners. Check out promo vid:

The track features underground artists Ghettosocks (from whom we already made a preemish post) and Timbuktu. It is the clean version, but even the clean version has preemish sounds haha. Bang this shit:

Clean: El Da Sensei & The Returners – Ain’t Trippin’ (Feat. Ghettosocks & Timbuktu) (Clean) (Prod. by The Returners)

Dirty: El Da Sensei & The Returners – Ain’t Trippin’ (Feat. Ghettosocks & Timbuktu) (Dirty) (Prod. by The Returners)

PREEMISH: Electric – Relax Today

If you are into jazzy hip hop, like the hip hop producers in Japan you’ll probably know this one. It’s from the group Electric (aka Electric Company) who released only one album in 2004 called “Lifes A Struggle“. It’s an American (Boston) hip hop group with members Insight, Dagha, Anonymous, Moe Pope and Raheem. But half of the album is produced by Martingang (Japan). The whole album is good, I would say very good. This joint is produced by Insight and contains a ‘funny’ sample, like a Hawaii sample. Enjoy:

PREEMISH: Convinced – Mass Appeal 2009 (Feat. Shawn Jackson, Tunji & El Prez)

I’m posting this quick because I’m a big fan of Shawn Jackson, also he should be on a Premo beat in my mind! And because this isn’t just a freestyle, but they made a new beat with the “Mass Appeal” sample. That is cool to do instead of just freestyle on a recycled beat, so I’m supporting this shit. Just a cool project, nuff said:

PREEMISH: Brooke Russell – No More

Long time I posted a beat with a close DJ Premier sound, this one is a rnb track by Brooke Rusell. She is a singster from USA, but used to live in Germany (or still lives there). She only made one album in 1999. With help from various german artists, like DJ Desue. If you don’t know him, he used to be one of the best German hip hop producer. But this one is a more unkown production of him, but you will hear how hot it is:

Brooke Russell – No More (Prod. by DJ Desue)

Got this joint from my man wiktor!

PREEMISH: Ghettosocks – Suck It Up

To keep this blog alive I’ll also post stuff when I feel to it that is close to preem. We all like that raw boombap sound of Premier that made him famous in our hip hop world. But there are also other producers that can make such sound, like Alchemist for example. But I’m not going to post Alchemist joints, I’m going to keep it more on an underground level. Also notice a lot of the tracks will not only be from the US. So…

!! IF THERE IS THE WORD “PREEMISH” IN FRONT OF THE POST TITLE MEANS THAT IT’S NOT PRODUCED BY DJ PREMIER !!

Here is a canadian MC with also producer and scratching skills. This track was from his debut album “Get Some Friends” back in 2006 that was only released in Canada. The producer is himself and he also did the cuts on this one. It’s featured by Mr. Bix.

Ghettosocks – Suck It Up (Feat. Mr. Bix) (Prod. by Ghettosocks)

Enjoy and try to support this artist (he got more this type of beats).
