MC Eiht – Represent Like This (Feat. WC) (Produced by Brenk Sinatra) (Scratches by DJ Premier) CDQ

Today, Eiht shares the first single from Which Way Iz West, “Represent Like This” featuring WC and DJ Premier.

“I decided to release the Dub C track first as an ode to true west coast music and because Dub is a true west coast originator” Eiht stated. “I wanted to give fans a familiar taste of what were about and due to Crazy Toones passing away, it just seemed like the appropriate way to honor my cuzzins as they were one of the first artists I had the honor of rocking with early in my career. This is for the west coast and our heritage and it was only right to Represent Like This.”

Miguel – 2 Lovin’ U (Prod. by DJ Premier) CDQ

Aaah finally!! There’s some history behind this track, back in 2k14 Premo worked with Miguel on some tracks for his new album. The song they’ve created was called “Damned”… When the next album of Miguel dropped in 2k15 we were looking for that track… But nowhere to be found, until the song appeared on the Deluxe Version of the album. Alright alright… but when I bought it… no… it wasn’t a Premier beat. Very sad, almost depressed, I thought I would never hear the song. Well people, 3 years later, it’s here! Going to be released on February 21, 2k17 under the title “2 Lovin’ U” but basically it’s just the original version of “Damned” as you will hear. Already leaked a week ago but now it can go officially:

Still lovin’ this:

Busta Rhymes – Grinch 2000 (Original Version) (Feat. Jim Carey) (Prod. by DJ Premier) (Radio Rip)

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!

Here’s some unreleased Busta Rhymes x DJ Premier collabo featuring the Christmas spirit, recorded around 2000 with the Mr. Grinch soundtrack in a genius way sampled like only Premo can do it!
This was the original version but they used the one produced by Teddy Riley for the official soundtrack. The reason why this version never got released is unknown, but the beat was later given to the Coca Cola Company. Enjoy:

Ripped from DJ Eclipse ‘Rap Is Outta Control’. Also played by Statik Selektah radio show. Voila.

The Lox – Move Forward (Produced by DJ Premier)

The Lox announced that they were signing with Roc Nation only two weeks ago, and their new album Filthy America… It’s Beautiful is already here. The 12-track project includes features from Gucci Mane, Fetty Wap, Mobb Deep, Dyce Payne, and Infa-Red. Filthy America… It’s Beautiful is The Lox’s first proper album in sixteen years. They last dropped We Are the Streets way back in 2000, although they’ve continued to record and release music since then. Most recently, they dropped a trilogy of EPs called The Trinity.

And now it’s here! After the classic LOX x DJ Premier track “Recognize” back in 2000 they reunited for a new banger called “Move Forward”.

Twenty One Pilots – Lane Boy (DJ Premier Remix) CDQ

“While I was in LA recording with Dr. Dre for the Compton Soundtrack, one of my homies told my tour manager to check out Twenty One Pilots,” Premier told Complex over email. “I bought Blurryface and liked it immediately, so I started looking for videos as well. I saw the ‘Lane Boy’ video and loved the concept of the song and video. It’s about refuting the idea that artists should stay in a ‘lane’ or be defined by a particular style or sound. ‘Lane Boy’ is the song I wanted to remix. They sent me the stems and said to rock out with it. The Preemix is now official.”-DJ Premier

MC Eiht – Run The Blocc (Feat. Young MayLay) (DJ Premier Remix) CDQ

DJ Premier stated to XXL “Runn The Blocc” was originally done as a freestyle joint 2 years ago over the same track as Black Moon’s “Who Got The Props”. I’m a huge fan of Young MayLAy from the west coast and he can spit. So when we finished mixing the album, I wanted to keep the lyrics and put a brand new beat to it so that it sounded like a whole new song.”

MC Eiht chimed in to XXL with his own comments “When I originally got the beat from Brenk (Sinatra), rather then do something that glorified hustling, I wanted to drop something more along the story-line of how it’s so stressful in the streets. Then Premier sent MayLAy and I a beat and it just fit my vision of how the game used to be perfectly; knowing hustling is still a necessary evil and having to deal with everything that comes with it. Preemo heard the final product and said it needed to be on the album; so now its official.”

Ow shit, MC Eiht forever!! How long do we (still) have to wait?! Young Maylay did the voice of CJ in the already legendary game GTA:SA 😉 And also did a very PHAT track with Premo back in 2k10 called “Temptation” for the “Get Used To Us” project:
