DJ Premier & Pete Rock Announcing Their ‘Secret’ Project With 9th Wonder
DJ Premier & Pete Rock were sitting together for an interview when they had to do their show in Montreal, Canada. A local radio station took their time to both interview them and I have off course the audio of that. They talk about their upcoming projects, their secret project, InI, Guru, who’s the best today in NY, the best places for hip hop outside USA, working with artists outside the USA and they had to define each other style in one word + giving top 3 of each other and some other games… Props to Pete Rock for naming a fucking real top 3 of DJ Premier, damn! Don’t expect their project with 9th Wonder soon, at least next year if you hear what DJ Premier is going to release this year (if he’ll make it). And Preems next European collaboration is with the France group Soulcast, somebody got more info of them? Couldn’t find it. Enjoy:

Rytmus Shooting A Video For “Jediný” Featuring DJ Premier
Slovakian rapper Rytmus who last year did a collaboration with DJ Premier for his album “Kral” is about to shoot a video for the track “Jediný” featuring the one and only DJ Premier. I think Rytmus is now officially the first European artist who has a video clip produced and featured Premo, hands down! The video shoot will take place at Hip Hop Jam 2010, a Czech Republic hip hop festival programmed in July, where both artists are on the program! Premo recently played the track again on his radio show LiveFromHQ. Be on the look out!

Khaleel – Hot Flames
In the same atmosphere that I posted yesterday the release dates of some couple Year Round Records 12inches I was trying to find a blogpost to this track by Khaleel. But I couldn’t found one, so why not make one? This track is produced by DJ Premier off course and is featured Texas youngster Khaleel signed to Year Round Records. His album “My MC Name Is…” should drop after Nick Javas album in a couple of years (first names on that list are Marco Polo, Panchi, Nick Javas and Showbiz). But the first single of Khaleel is about to drop on July 12th, 2010 with “Hot Flames” on the A-Side and on the B-Side we have a new unreleased track “Aalllllready”. I’m excited about that one!
“Hot Flames” was original named “You Can’t Tell Me Shit”, later on I’ve heard the name “Can’t Tell Me” but last year DJ Premier told us that the official name of the track is “Hot Flames”. First time I’ve heard the track was in like 2004, now 6 years later we’ll be able to buy it on vinyl! Enjoy:
Here are some new Khaleel tracks from his library (none of them are produced by DJ Premier and they are not featured on the album):
And for those who missed it, another leak:
