What is for You the Best DJ Premier beat of 2009?; VOTE!!
Time flies, say that again. And like last year I’m asking you guys to vote for the best DJ Premier beat of this year. Remember, I’m not asking you for the best track, but for the best hip-hop beat in your ears produced by Premo in 2k9. I know some of you will have it hard to decide, but think/sleep/dream about it and make your vote on time! You have 59 days and then we go into the year 2010. Too bad we didn’t had a Gang Starr reunion this year on their 20 years anniversary, but it’s for everybody recession! Now I’m feeling like an award show, maybe I can create something and send the award to New York! It’s a long list, but the nominees are:
1. Blaq Poet – I-Gettin
The first track on Blaq Poet’s “Tha Blaqprint”. Listen here.
2. Blaq Poet – Rap Addiction (Feat. Shabeeno & Lil’ Fame)
Track 14 on Blaq Poet’s “Tha Blaqprint”. Listen here.
3. Blaq Poet – Hate (Feat. N.O.R.E.)
Track 8 on Blaq Poet’s “Tha Blaqprint”. Listen here.

Track 6 on Capone-N-Noreaga’s “Channel 10”. Listen here.
5. Blaq Poet – Never Goodbye
Track 15 on Blaq Poet’s “Tha Blaqprint”. Listen here.
6. Cormega – Make It Clear
Track 7 on Cormega’s “Born And Raised”. Listen here.
7. M.O.P. – What I Wanna B (Feat. Rell)
Track 3 on M.O.P.’s “Foundation”. Listen here.
8. Nick Javas – Opportunity Knocks
Ripped by me on DJ Premier’s LiveFromHQ. Listen here.

Ripped by me on DJ Premier’s LiveFromHQ. Listen here.
10. Royce da 5’9″ – Hood Love (Feat. Bun B & Joell Ortiz)
Track 19 on Royce da 5’9″ “Street Hop”. Listen here.
11. Royce da 5’9″ – Something 2 Ride 2 (Feat. Phonte)
Track 4 on Royce da 5’9″ “Street Hop”. Listen here.
You heard everything, then make you vote! I’m started this poll earlier so we can get more votes so it can gives us a more accurate view on the standings. I really don’t have a clue who is going to have the most vote, but I do know some will run away with it! Thanks for reading and vote!! I wouldn’t do this if I it wasn’t of the visitors I can help!!!
btw, sorry if Bumpy Knuckles “Amerikkan Black Man” was the best beat of 2009 (here) (is his album coming in 2010?), or “Stretch Marks And Cigarette Burns”, had to cut… Actually funny, we saw “Tha Blaqprint” and “Street Hop”, how long did we wait on this? Damn…
What is your Age, Homie?; Results
I always wondered what the age of my visitors was, it’s a very useful number because then you could see whether older DJ Premier fans got their way to the internet or not. And I’m a happy human been with the results. I can proudly type that 68% of my visitors is older than me, now you know a little bit more about me you haters. The quote that age is just a number is onces proved. Second, I would like to thank everybody for their vote. The poll got a number of 1960 fucking votes, that’s wassup!! And to show my Excel skills I’ve made a graphic of the results:
<16y, 75
16-20y, 519
21-25y, 588
26-30y, 348
31-35y, 280
>35y, 150
I wonder who is the oldest visitor? Or the youngest?
Thorotracks – Gangstas In NY (Feat. NYGz) (Prod. by Thorotracks)
I totally overlooked this one. In july I had a rip of a NYGz track that wasn’t produced by DJ Premier. I didn’t had any info about the track, where it should be released on. But the producers name was Thorotracks and they were making their own solo album “The Saga Continues” where this NYGz track is from. That album got released in august so it’s a bit old. If you like his beats you should cop the album, also Year Round Record artist Blaq Poet and Gang Starr Foundation member Krumb Snatcha are featuring. Cop it here for only $9. Enjoy:

Statik Selektah – Other Than That (Feat. NYGz) (Prod. by Statik Selektah) (Radio Rip)
I’m happy to present to you a brand new track with Year Round Records members Shabeeno and Panchi. Produced the one and only Statik Selektah for his upcoming EP “Pre Game” coming soon. This is already the 2nd time Statik Selektah works with a YRR member, first we had Nick Javas with his track “Beginning to End” here. Another proof of the good relations between Showoff and YRR. Oh yes, and in about one month my blog exists one year, maybe I’m thinking of changing some things; AYE!! Enjoy:

PREEMISH: El Da Sensei & The Returners – Ain’t Trippin’ (Feat. Ghettosocks & Timbuktu)
!!EXCLUSIVE EXCLUSIVE!! Just got this in my mailbox from Michal Chwialkowski (The Returners), and shit is too hard, so why not posting it!! This is in my top 10 tracks of 2009! El Da Sensei from The Artifacts teamed up one year ago with Polish production team The Returners for making an album called “Global Takeover“. No misstep, it was surprisingly an underground hit. Now one year later we can tell that El Da Sensei still loves the European flavor by releasing a new EP with The Returners. Check out promo vid:
The track features underground artists Ghettosocks (from whom we already made a preemish post) and Timbuktu. It is the clean version, but even the clean version has preemish sounds haha. Bang this shit:
DJ Premier worked with Slovakian MC “Rytmus” for his upcoming album!
A new European x DJ Premier collabo seems to see the light still this year. The Slovakian “Rick Ross” aka Rytmus (Slovakian for “Rhythm”) worked with DJ Premier for his upcoming album “Kral” (“King”). It’s general assumed they got in touch with each other when Premo did his last European Tour. The Slovakian MC isn’t a unknown person in own country, started his career in 1992, and sta
rted 9 years later with his successful group Kontrafakt. But I guess Slovakia was too small for him, because in 2003 he got a hit with the song “Dáva mi” (“It Gives Me”) that reached out to Poland and Germany followed by his second place in the Austrian beatbox championship battle where he won over young American talent Lee-Jay. Not afraid of international collaborations he already worked with Kool Savas and Nate Dogg. Rytmus official site says the album is coming next month!

Too bad we won’t understand a fuck about the lyrics, but still curious as fuck. Props to DJ Spank for the heads up!
