We had a snippet of this track before in very bad quality and live, this one is also live but it’s full and in ‘better’ quality. So I thought it would be fair to share it on this blog with you guys. This will be the first track on Blaq Poet‘s upcoming album “Tha Blaqprint” and feels more as an intro. It will get you ready for the bangers. DJ Premier also produced this one, so your speakers will need to be ready too. Enjoy:

For those who love the good ol’ preem days this can be interesting, I’m not quit sure how to say it. But for me it’s totally new… It sounds like more the demo version of the Gang Starr track “Doe In Advance“. Officially it was released on “Hard To Earn” as a bonus track on the Japanese version. Later you could buy it on bootleg vinyl singles and so on, that was always the version I heard untill now, because now I bought this Japanese import. And guess what, this beat is different then those on the bootlegs because the bootlegs contains a version with an uncleared sample, the song was original ment to be as a B Side for “Suckas Need Bodyguards” in 1994. But due to sample issues it was changed to “The ? Remainz“. I call this version the original version:

Capone-N-Noreaga – Grand Royal
Today the full (unmastered) version of Capone-N-Noreaga “Grand Royal” track leaked from their album “Channel 10“. Like we all know produced by DJ Premier, for more info: I posted the snippet last week. This track is recorded last year and then Preem said it was a rejected Rakim beat!
Bumpy Knuckles – Amerikkkan Black Man
Last we heard a new Bumpy Knuckles DJ Premier collabo was back in 2006, that’s three years ago!! Too long, so I decided to ask on Freddie’s radio show if he has some exclusive Premo shit. And this is what I could record, but he has more, he has some more of this… This track is probably recorded in 2006/07 for his upcoming album “American Black Man“, the song is also called “Amerikkkan Black Man“. So enjoy and hopefully we can hear more in the future, he and Preem are the original O.G.’s!! FONKY!
Grand Royal Snippet
Oh no, the new tracks are floating like my dice on ice. Remember when I said DJ Premier recorded in the studio a track with Capone-N-Noreaga last year for their upcoming album? That track was first called “Invincible Pt. II” but Premo changed it too “Grand Royal“. I was waiting on this track, and now their is a snippet avaible (off “Channel 10“, coming march 17th):

NEW PREMO FIRE YES SIR, first of all: I listen to LiveFromHQ now for two months without any new joints, I couldn’t listen for one time and BAM, new DJ Premier song. Second, I get almost fifty mails of people who want to hear the joint as quick as possible, didn’t knew this blog was that famous! Even have a couple aggressive mails too looool. But like I promised, I have it!
And what can I say, the song is fire. The sample is hardcore as usual with three hardcore rappers: Blaq Poet, Lil’ Fame and Shabeeno (of NYGz). Here is a dope track by C-Rayz Walz with Swave Sevah doing a homage to Gang Starr and DJ Premier. It’s from his upcoming album “Who The Fuck Are You?” on Kings Link Records. I think it’s time of the year to do homages. Preems ‘homages’ were always great, “Pop Shots“, “Big L Intro” and many more…
Blaq Poet – Too Strong
Finally I have it, it’s taken from the vinyl. But I’m still waiting on my copy of the single, it didn’t reached Europe yet. Maybe next week, and I still don’t have a message of YRR when the video will be released. Oh well, make sure you cop this one. Or at least “Tha Blaqprint” (coming in a couple of months) if you don’t have a vinyl player. But then you won’t have this song, because it’s a vinyl only track. Just promise me you support DJ Premier in a way, how it should be:
DJ Premier Homage
This is a special one, a track that pays homage to DJ Premier. I can’t say he doesn’t deserve this, because he is one true legend. I’m wondering if he would play it on LiveFromHQ, props to Phonte for the hook up who is actually also on the track together with Royce da 5’9″ and Stat Quo. DJ Premier didn’t produce this track, but Focus did! He did some nice productions is the past, but this one is real dope too. It’s for his new serie where he is going to make more homages. Haha, a very nice effort of these guys! Now I want to see Phonte on a Premo production!! Enjoy the homage to DJ Premier, who is know for 20 years(!) in the game, started with Gang Starr in 1989, congrats:
